The classes taught in the computer lab involve a wide variety of paid and free software packages. These include:
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere
Available on student laptops and in the lab, non-students can also rent it for a monthly fee.
Kodu Game Lab, Gamemaker 2, and Unity
Available only for the PC, Kodu is a free program for all versions of Windows. Gamemaker 2 is paid software that creates sprite based 2D games. Unity is available for free, and allows students to use real code to create 2D and 3D games.
Tinkercad, 123D Design, Scuptris, and Carrara
Tinkercad is a free, cloud-based, 3D modeling program. It only requires and Open-GL browser such as Chrome to run (no installation required). 123D Design is also free, and is offered in both a cloud version and as a traditional program. Scuptris is also free, but only exists as a (very buggy) beta. Carrara is a full featured 3D modeling and animation program, but is not available for free. Occasionally, an older version of Cararra is bundled with 3D design magazines at a very low cost.
